Thanks for the Opportunities!

Good Morning Most Awesome and Wonderful  Beautiful Educators and Friends!!!!! Every experience is an opportunity to learn and grow! So when I have a bad experience, I have to think how did I attract this situation to myself? I can no longer leave things to just chance. Either I have attracted bad behavior in my students because I have done it to someone else and it is coming back to me. Or  I feel I deserve that behavior. The only thing that will change it, is if I learn from the experience. Maybe in certain instances, I could be more accepting of my students and allow them more time to move and grow through their own experiences. Whatever it is, I thank God for the opportunity to learn and grow!

Daily Affirmations: Today is an Amazing Day! My Classroom is a Peaceful Haven. My mind is free and open to all learning experiences. I choose joy! I choose love! I choose peace! Teaching is fun, it’s easy, it’s wonderful, it’s a positive experience! I love Teaching! My students respect and love me because I respect and love myself! The possibilities are endless! Good Morning Most Powerful Educators and Friends! Today I choose to be, as Marianne Williamson says, a conduit of love. So  rather than talk about how my students need to change to make me happy and what my coworkers should do so I can be happy, I choose to just be happy! Happiness and joy is a choice and we have to choose it everyday! Once I choose Joy, I can spread it to others!

Daily Affirmations: Today is an Amazing Day! I choose Joy and Happiness! I love and approve of myself! The same love I give myself, I spread to my students! I am excited about life! All We Need Is Love!

Good Morning Most Wonderful and Awesome Educators and Friends!!!! Our children are coming back to school! We don’t know what they had to endure while they were away from us, so let them come back to find love! The love and understanding they find in our classroom may be the most consistent thing in their life. Let’s sprinkle love, joy, and peace in every corner of our classroom! Even when the students try to push our buttons, all they need is love!

1 Corinthians 13:4-7The Message (MSG)

3-7 If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.

Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love doesn’t strut,
Doesn’t have a swelled head,
Doesn’t force itself on others,
Isn’t always “me first,”
Doesn’t fly off the handle,
Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn’t revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,

This is an awesome scripture to read every morning just to remind us how our classrooms should be!

And Then There’s Love!

Good Morning Most Awesome and Wonderful Educators and Friends!!! In my school district, Today is the last day for teacher prep. We will talk about the many ways to help our students. Our minds will be filled with more information than we can handle. But I say, the best way to get prepared for our students is to fill our hearts with love and compassion! It is only through love that we can see our children as they are: Children that are learning. Love helps us to understand that mistakes are nothing but learning experiences. Children like to push us beyond our limitations. They see the world in its unlimited possibilities, while we were taught at an early age, things we shouldn’t and couldn’t do. We try to push that off on the children and they won’t have it! That is why I speak love, compassion, and understanding over every classroom. Love is the answer! No more getting angry with students that push our buttons – See them with LOVE!

My School Prayer!

Dear God,

Please bless every school with love. Let every classroom be filled with love and understanding. Every child is precious! Help us, teachers, to see the children as they are. Help us to love and accept the children as they are. Help us to release our “pet peeves” and let us realize that mistakes will be made during the learning process. Mistakes don’t need to be punished, but corrected for learning to be truly effective. God, it seems the world is going crazy. But, school is the one constant in the children’s life; so let them find love, joy and peace when they walk through the doors! Bless us all now as we start school again! Thank you God! We love you!

Out of Control!

Good Morning Most Awesome and Wonderful Educators and Friends! Today I am going into the classroom of my mind so that I can prepare for  my classroom! As teacher, we always feel that we have to control the children in our class. But today I release the need to control everyone and everything and I affirm that I trust the process of life. If we see every experience as an opportunity to learn and grow, we will see that we have to allow children the space and time to learn and grow! The mistakes that children make must be made in order for them to learn and the mistakes that I make are for my learning and growing! I speak love over my students as they prepare to come back to school! I speak love over my fellow teachers as they prepare their classrooms for their students! Let LOVE fill our schools!

Every Experience is a Learning Experience!

Good Morning Most awesome and Wonderful Educators and Friends! Summer is almost over and it is time for school to start again! As prepare our physical classrooms for our students, let’s prepare the classroom of our mind for them as well! Every experience is a learning experience! If we just remember this simple rule of life, we would not get so angry with students who don’t do it exactly the way we say they should do it! I’m preparing my mind by imagining myself as a little child and comforting myself for my mistakes, in turn I will be able to comfort my students when they make mistakes rather than “jumping down their throats”.

Who cares if I’m Right!

Good Afternoon Most Awesome and Wonderful World Changers! It’s been a while since I posted but I saw this and it spoke to me. Many times we do whatever we can just to be right. Even in times when being right could be devastating. “If you don’t stop speeding, you’re gonna be in an accident!” Sometimes it seems like we wish the person would get in an accident just so we could be right. How mean spirited is that? On the other hand, we tear people down and defame their character just so we can be right. Discredit someone else so we can be right. That’s why this quote spoke to me this morning. “I’m one of those people!” I’m always right! “Mark my words”, I would say. That’s what my grandmother said to me. I didn’t realize that by me wishing or expecting harm to them just so I could be right was really bringing it to myself. My godsons drive most of the time when we travel and beg and plead them to slow down. “You’re gonna get in an accident!” However, I’ve been in 4 within a 2 year period and they haven’t been in any. As I look inwardly with Love, I choose not to be right but kind. Everything I wish for others is attracted back to me. So from here on out, I attract kindness, patience, gentleness, love, and peace! ALL IS WELL AND I AM SAFE!
