Kwanzaa is an African-Americans celebration of life from 26 December to 1 January. Dr. Maulana Karenga introduced the festival in 1966 to the United States as a ritual to welcome the first harvests to the home. Dr. Karenga created this festival for Afro-Americans as a response to the commercialism of Christmas. ( https://www.africa.upenn.edu/K-12/Kwanzaa_What_16661.html )
You don’t have to be African–American to celebrate Kwanza. The principles span time and space. All families should spend time at the dinner table and discuss the principles. It’s a time of family togetherness.
What if you could just teach, without interruptions from behavior?
What would your day be like, if you didn’t have to spend unnecessary time with discipline?
What if you could set your expectations and your students followed them without having a reminder?
What if your children stopped themselves in the middle of making a mistake and corrected it?
What if your children offered you advice to help you?
That’s the kind of classroom I want to be in. Where students are busy learning content and not having to be redirected for undesirable behaviors. I want to be in a building where teachers say, I came to school to teach and I will teach! And students say, I came to school to learn and I will learn. We can have children like this. If we train them to be like this.

Good Morning Most Awesome and Wonderful World Changers! I have always said, You can’t wish for someone, what they don’t wish for themselves. Many times we see the potential in our children and we want to push them to greatness. But I have learned, that the best way to push others to greatness is to realize the potential within and push yourself. Then others will be inspired to realize their own potential. So start using your wishes for you. Sometimes we think we’re too old to accomplish the greatness we see for our children. Most times your children don’t want to do what you expect for them. You have pushed your wants on to them. Take this time now to realize that it’s never too late! Start using your wishes for yourself!

It’s never too late to use your wishes for yourself!
