Saturday Money Moments

Good Evening Most Awesome and Wonderful World Changers!

I normally don’t blog on Weekends but I decided to start sharing some of the Money Affirmations that I use. We can affirm together. This quote comes from Florence Scovel Shinn. Her book is called Winning The Game of Life. Many times when we affirm what we want, we never know how it is going to happen. Truth be told it is not our job to know how it’s going to happen. All we can do is ask God to show a plan and then start moving joyfully and thankfully towards that plan.

I Can Speak Myself Free!

Good Morning Most Awesome and Wonderful World Changers! Just know that you can speak yourself free from whatever you are going through. You are the creator of your reality. If your mind can conceive it and your mouth can speak it and your heart believe it; it’s yours!

The Gig is Up! Just Say Thank You!

Good Morning Y’all! There’s a song by the Williams Brothers that says, “I’m just a nobody trying to tell everybody about somebody who can save anybody.” That’s the way we were taught to think in church. “Don’t think more highly of yourself than you ought.” But it doesn’t say put yourself down or be a nobody.But so many people resonate with thinking humility means to put yourself down. When someone sings well and you compliment them, they say “It’s all Him and not me.” I say the gig is up! Just say thank you and go on! It’s good to give thanks unto God but when someone compliments you on what they already know God has given you, it is a slap in the face for you to say “It wasn’t me”. As to say that you don’t know how to use what God has blessed you with. He has to come and take over because you’re not a good steward of your talent. I say, the gig is up! Just say thank you. It’s time to stop putting yourself down and stand in your own power! I will always be SOMEBODY telling everybody about the power within us given by God that can change you and you alone! Change the way you think and believe, you will change your life! Others can only be changed when they change their thinking as well, but that’s not your work. #elevateyourmind

KUUMBA = CREATIVITY!

Habari Gani!!!! Happy Kwanzaa!!!!! Today is the day of the great Karamu feast! Yayyyy!!!!!! Eat and be Merry!!!! Enjoy your family! Be creative and make a small gift to share with someone in your family!

When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade. Now that’s creativity! My grandmother used to call it “making due” with what you have. When the bed sheets became a curtain and then the curtain became a table clothe and the table clothe became a dress and then the dress became a napkin or a duster and then the napkin or duster became a part of the patch quilt blanket- that’s creativity! In this sense we are like God! He is the creator and he created us to be creative! Just like him! So today tap into the power that God has given you. Think of ways you can be creative. Take nothing and turn in into something!

NIA = PURPOSE!

Happy Kwanzaa Y’all!! HabariΒ Β Gani!!! Β This is our Kwanzaa greeting. It means What’s new? Or in our new ages slang What’s up? Sup? LOL! I hope you are truly enjoying spending more time with your family! I hope you are discussing and practicing the principals! Today’s principle is Nia which means purpose. Today go within and ask, “Who am I and what am I here to do?” You may need to meditate on this for a while. Then together as a family we should ask, “Who we are and what have we been created to do?” In everything you do, always ask yourself, “WHAT IS MY PURPOSE?”

UJAMAA = SUPPORT EACH OTHER

Today is the fourth day of Kwanzaa! I hope you enjoyed discussing working together yesterday! It would also been a great day to work together doing a community service project. Today we go inward and support ourselves by making our thoughts for us and not against us. “My thoughts about Life are for me! My thoughts about God are for me! ALL IS WELL AND I AM SAFE! All of my thoughts are for me!”

Support yourself in your thoughts, then you can support each other. Support each other mentally by being the shoulder to cry on, being the moral compass by which to direct the life of our young people, or just giving a word of encouragement. Support each other financially! Put your money where your mouth is. We need to start owning hotels chains, textile companies, banks, super market chains, etc. Now one thing I need to say. . . Black businesses if you want the support of your brothers and sisters, try being more professional and having a bit more customer service. You have to support yourself first by cleaning up your place, training your employees, preparing and budgeting!!! Then you also have to be willing to show support to others! Give back to the community that supports you!
