Good Morning Most Awesome and Wonderful World Changers! As our kids go back to school, I am praying that they have the time and space to grow and flourish. That’s why I get angry when I hear someone picking at another person or putting someone down. In order to sprinkle love and joy in my classroom, I have to be filled with love and joy. So my prayer is that every teacher and school staff member be filled with love and joy!

Good Morning Most Awesome and Wonderful World Changers! It’s hard to move from an old way of thinking and teaching. Allowing the children to discover themselves is really hard when you are used to being in charge. My classroom has been a monarchy. This year I’m trying to allow it to be a democracy. This year I want each student to work on what is meaningful to them. As I make these changes, I pray that my classroom will be filled with love, joy, and happiness.

Many teachers and students are thinking, “Oh god here we go again! Another year of the same foolishness!” I myself was thinking, “Look how nice the children behave when they’re with they’re parents today for the meet and greet. Wait til Wednesday!” However, today is Wild Thoughts Wednesday so let’s change our regular mundane thoughts to wildly positive thoughts! “The children are going to be wonderful!” “Today will be the best day of my career!” Let’s change our experience by changing our thoughts!

I would like my classroom to be an environment where children feel safe to explore by making mistakes and learning from them. Where they know that they are still growing and it’s okay if they don’t get everything right the first time. I want my classroom to be filled with excitement when they walk in. I want my classroom to be filled with peace, love, and joy!
