Determined to Run!

Good Morning Most Awesome and Wonderful Educators and Friends! Today is the start of a new week! I let go of whatever happened last week and look forward! “I am determined to run all the way” as the gospel song says! This week I will accomplish all the things that I need to accomplish! I will do only what brings me Joy and Ease! All the other stuff will not get my full attention! I am speaking joy and ease into my classroom! My students know that I have forgotten about what happened last week. Every Monday is a fresh start! We are ready to learn! Every experience is an opportunity to learn and grow!

Daily Affirmations: Today is an Amazing Day! I am Vivacious and Energetic!  I look forward to what this new week brings! Joy and Ease is my quest! I am glad to be alive! I am the head! I am above! Good Morning Most Awesome Educators and Friends!!!!! It’s Friday!!! Yayyy! We made through the week with a few hiccups but all went really good! This is my celebration day! Let the little child in you laugh, play, and sing! Make people wonder, “What’s wrong you?” LOL! Have fun today! It gives me great joy to know that my thoughts have  created such a wonderful week! The more I search my thoughts and learn which ones are not working towards my best life, the more I can change with an affirmations! God is so good! I am allowed to choose joy; and he brings me more things to be joyful about! HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!

Shout! YAYYYYYY!!!!

Good Morning Most Awesome and Wonderful Educators and Friends!!!!! I just feel like shouting out YAYYYY!!!! If one of the students or somebody got one your nerves and you decided to check yourself and just love them? Even if you only did it once but let them have it the rest of the time: – SHOUT YAYYYY! That’s progress! If You are like me, when somebody makes you mad you stay mad the whole day? Well let’s say maybe yesterday somebody made me mad as soon as the school day started, but I was able to do a short meditation and snap back! – SHOUT YAYYY! Last one; Y’all better get in on this! It’ll feels good to just SHOUT YAYYYYYYY!!!! If one of your students who know how to push your buttons tried it yesterday with all their might and all you did was smile: SHOUT YAAYYYYYY!

Learning – It’s A Process!

Good Morning Most Awesome and Wonderful Educators and Friends!! I am super excited about this school year! The children have been awesome! I allow them to be true to who they are and at the same time manage to guide them. They are such free thinkers! LOL! I once heard of a school that allowed the students to complete their work whenever they wanted to and to call the teachers by their first name. When I first heard that I was offended. LOL! “Ain’t no child calling me by my first name. That’s just disrespectful!” However, I now see the value in that teaching style. I’m not ready to be called Kyri at school yet, but I have started relinquishing some control which allows more of the students true self to shine through. I Love every minute of it!

Good Morning Most Awesome and Wonderful Educators and Friends!!! These first days of school have been Awesome! The students have been behaving quite nicely! I have released the need to try and control them and I have learned to love them unconditionally! Life works so much better when you decide to stop trying control everything and everybody and just learn to love unconditionally! Start seeing people for who they are and learn to love and accept them for who they are! It’s easier when you learn to love and accept yourself!

No More Autopilot, Choose Joy!

Good Morning Most Awesome and Wonderful Educators and Friends!!! Sometimes we don’t pay attention to how we feel. Well if you’re like me, sometimes I just move through the day on autopilot. Not really sad, not really angry, not really happy, not really excited; just here. Doing this has not created my best life! Doing this has not  created a vibrant classroom either. Maybe that’s why we get so angry at students who step outside of our expectations; they make us turn off autopilot. Well starting now I will no longer live on autopilot! I will recognize how I feel, and choose Joy!

Good Morning Most Awesome and Wonderful  Beautiful Educators and Friends!!!!! Every experience is an opportunity to learn and grow! So when I have a bad experience, I have to think how did I attract this situation to myself? I can no longer leave things to just chance. Either I have attracted bad behavior in my students because I have done it to someone else and it is coming back to me. Or  I feel I deserve that behavior. The only thing that will change it, is if I learn from the experience. Maybe in certain instances, I could be more accepting of my students and allow them more time to move and grow through their own experiences. Whatever it is, I thank God for the opportunity to learn and grow!

Daily Affirmations: Today is an Amazing Day! My Classroom is a Peaceful Haven. My mind is free and open to all learning experiences. I choose joy! I choose love! I choose peace! All We Need Is Love!

Good Morning Most Wonderful and Awesome Educators and Friends!!!! Our children are coming back to school! We don’t know what they had to endure while they were away from us, so let them come back to find love! The love and understanding they find in our classroom may be the most consistent thing in their life. Let’s sprinkle love, joy, and peace in every corner of our classroom! Even when the students try to push our buttons, all they need is love!

1 Corinthians 13:4-7The Message (MSG)

3-7 If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.

Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love doesn’t strut,
Doesn’t have a swelled head,
Doesn’t force itself on others,
Isn’t always “me first,”
Doesn’t fly off the handle,
Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn’t revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.

This is an awesome scripture to read every morning just to remind us how our classrooms should be!

Who cares if I’m Right!

Good Afternoon Most Awesome and Wonderful World Changers! It’s been a while since I posted but I saw this and it spoke to me. Many times we do whatever we can just to be right. Even in times when being right could be devastating. “If you don’t stop speeding, you’re gonna be in an accident!” Sometimes it seems like we wish the person would get in an accident just so we could be right. How mean spirited is that? On the other hand, we tear people down and defame their character just so we can be right. Discredit someone else so we can be right. That’s why this quote spoke to me this morning. “I’m one of those people!” I’m always right! “Mark my words”, I would say. That’s what my grandmother said to me. I didn’t realize that by me wishing or expecting harm to them just so I could be right was really bringing it to myself. My godsons drive most of the time when we travel and beg and plead them to slow down. “You’re gonna get in an accident!” However, I’ve been in 4 within a 2 year period and they haven’t been in any. As I look inwardly with Love, I choose not to be right but kind. Everything I wish for others is attracted back to me. So from here on out, I attract kindness, patience, gentleness, love, and peace! ALL IS WELL AND I AM SAFE!

Just Saying. . .

If you pray to God for an answer and the answer given is not based in love, you probably need to go  back pray again. God can’t step outside of love. God is love. Causing hurt to others is not love. People talk about blessings and curses coming out of the same mouth but the cuss words we use now weren’t even in existence when the bible was written. They didn’t even speak English. To me this scripture refers to love and hate coming out our mouths. The bible also talks about being lukewarm . It says the God would rather us be Hot or Cold. So I’m gongho for LOVE! Lord let me an instrument of your LOVE!
