Watch It Wednesday!

Good Morning most Awesome Wonderful Educators and Friends!!!!!! I believe Frank Outlaw penned a little saying that says, Watch you thoughts (Thoughts that teachers are respected and appreciated or teachers are used and underpaid), They become words (“I love teaching! I enjoy coming to work!” or “I’m tired of this job. These children are horrible”)

Watch your words (“Everybody is always helpful. I am supported well.” or “These parents don’t do anything, uugghhh! Our administration doesn’t support us”), They become actions (loving the children and teaching with joy, or spreading sarcasm and being angry all the time)

Watch your actions (having high standards and expectations and giving extra help to students who need it or passing kids along just to get rid of them) They become habits (Staying late working to make sure that your class can handle various learning styles, or just printing worksheets and lecturing the whole time)

Watch your habits (using your own money to purchase things for your class, or stealing from other teachers who may have laid items down in the lounge) They become character (Are you a good teacher or  Are you a Bad teacher?)

Watch your character, It becomes your destiny! 

Since education feeds every facet of the world’s systems it makes me wonder. . .  What our world would look like if our teachers were more positive and upbeat? Then I am thankful that the point of power is always in the present moment! We can change the world and it only starts with a thought. So watch it!

The Rhythm of Life

Good Morning Most Awesome Educators and Friends! It’s kind of tough to stay upbeat when you are surrounded by such negativity. That’s why it’s very important to continue to visit the classroom of your mind. When I’m sitting in a negative conversation or just listening to something negative, I go within and say, “That may be true for you but not for me!” Life already has ups and downs so it’s best to just focus on the ups of life!

Laura Sandage wrote in her song “When I started down the street last Sunday feeling mighty low and kind of mean Suddenly a voice said go forth neighbor spread the picture on a wider screen And the voice said neighbor there’s a million reasons why you should be glad in all four seasons Hit the road neighbor leave your worries and strife Spread the religion of the rhythm of life.”

That’s how I feel this morning! I want to spread the Rhythm of Life!  Rhythm has long and short notes. It also has silences. I used to have long period of sadness and anger with short burst of happiness. But once I learned to take advantage of the silences, I was able to flip it around! The ups and downs are choices like writing music on a page! So I now take a silent time of meditation and go within to choose happiness! “For the rhythm of life is a powerful beat Puts a tingle in your fingers and a tingle in your feet rhythm on the inside rhythm on the street and the rhythm of life is a powerful beat!”

Daily Affirmations: Today is an amazing day! Great things are happening all around me everyday! I chose happiness! I Love my life! I release the need to try and control everything and everybody and I trust the process of life! I love myself! I approve of myself! ALL IS WELL AND I AM SAFE! ALL IS WELL IN MY CLASSROOM! Musical Monday!!!

Good Morning Most Awesome and Wonderful Educators and Friends!!!! Today is an Amazing Day! The beginning of another work week!!! I am choosing to start my day with a song! I have created a playlist on my laptop that plays meditations and affirmations throughout the night while I’m sleep (subconscious mind), then it wakes me up with a song! I am feeding my mind! I wake up happy and ready to start the day with singing and dancing! Waking up like that stays with me through the whole day! It’s always good to start the week like this! Let’s make every Monday a Musical Monday!

Daily Affirmations: Today is an Amazing Day! I am happy and grateful now that job fills me with joy and excitement! I love teaching. It is my passion. I teach with ease! My students learn with ease! Thank Goodness Thursday!!

Good Morning Most Awesome Educators and Friends!!!! Today is an amazing day! Our schools are closed tomorrow, so this is my Friday! “Thank Goodness”! I need to catch up on my rest! Thank Goodness that my students were awesome this week! They were very pleasant! At one point in time, I had all of my 4th grade classes in one room. We were squared dancing. . . . LOL! This was truly one of the highlights of my week! My classroom is truly becoming a peaceful haven! Thank Goodness! Life is wonderful! Everyone I come in contact with, is always helpful! Thank Goodness! My income is constantly increasing! Thank Goodness! Everything in my life is working for my highest good! Thank Goodness!

Wobbling Wavering Wednesday!!!

Good Morning Most Awesome Wonderful Educators! I just gonna be very honest! It must be because I’m tired. The past few days I have gone to bed at 2:00am and gotten back up at 6:30am like clock work. I always say follow your feelings but the past few days it has given me joy to be mean and surly. LOL! (Now that just made me laugh! That came from a movie with Whoopi Goldberg, when she put on her husband’s gravestone. . .  Mean & Surly. . . . LOL!) Well this is just what I’m talking about. Yesterday when I woke up, I was playing my music and singing and dancing! I was very upbeat. But as soon as I got to school, I felt like being mean and surly! I actually enjoyed it. Until my Kindergarteners came in. They won’t allow me being grumpy to stop them from singing, playing, laughing, and dancing! It was so funny because one of them came up to talk to me and I didn’t turn to look at him but I answered. I just didn’t look at him so he stood right there and kept calling my name. At that moment, I decided to shake off my hatefulness and put on a smile and turn to him. He simply said “I missed you” and gave me a hug followed by the rest of the class . It was like they knew I wasn’t myself and waited for me to bring the vibration of joy back into my mind! That was enough to keep me going for the rest of the day!

I mentioned this story about yesterday, because I woke up this morning in the same head space. But just remembering that moment with my kids really gave me life. It’s funny, as I walked around telling other teachers I was feeling Mean and Surly. They all said “Didn’t you do your positive thing this morning?” That the thing; I did do it! But that’s why I’m sharing this story. To show that it is truly a choice. I choose JOY! People think you can’t have days like this when you’re normally a positive person. However one of my affirmations says, “Everyone is always helpful” and “I love my students and they love me”. So even when I feel at my lowest, God sends someone to pull me out of it! To help me choose a joyful thought! Many times it is my students. They seem to have a keen sense to gauge emotions and they know exactly what to do and say to help people from being Wobbling and Wavering!

Daily Affirmations: Today is an Amazing Day! I love my life! I love and approve of myself as I am right here and now! I love the people I work with! Everyone is always helpful. I love my students. I bless each one with love. I know that the love I send to my students and fellow teachers, comes back to me. ALL IS WELL AND I AM SAFE! ALL IS WELL IN MY CLASSROOM! ALL IS WELL IN MY SCHOOL! Trusting God Tuesday

Good Morning Awesome Educators and Friends!!!! In turbulent times when It seems like nothing is going right; I have learn to trust God even more. God always gives you what you expect. So normally when I’m experiencing craziness, I have to go into the classroom of my mind and look at my thoughts that are creating it. Craziness in my mind = craziness in my personal experience. That’s when I trust God all the more. I know that once I clean my thought patterns, he will help clean the craziness out of my life! I serve a God that is loving and caring! Whatever I choose the think, believe, and speak; God starts arranging and rearranging things in the universe for me to take steps toward it! God is so good! It’s easier to trust him once you realize that he only gives back to you what your thoughts will allow! Life is easy because I trust God to do what he does best!

Daily Affirmations: Today is an Amazing Day! I trust God to bring me my highest good! I am excited about life! I teach with ease! My students learn with ease! I am cleaning my thoughts and creating wonderful new experiences. I love myself and approve of myself! I am grateful to serve a God that is good! ALL IS WELL AND I AM SAFE! Majestic Monday

Good Morning Most Awesome and Wonderful Educators and Friends!! I was listening to Donald Lawrence last night before I went to bed. He has a song that says watch what you speak because “There is a King in You!” That made me imagine the King sitting on the throne dishing out orders and people doing everything he tells them to do. Then the cook or whoever it is brings the royal grapes and feeds them to him! That also made me laugh a little bit! I’m gonna teach from that space, today! How great it would be if we all could realize the majestic qualities in our own thought patterns and beliefs.

Whatever we think and speak, will begin to happen. Our royal subjects (Universe) are standing ready to please us.

Truthfully, we do have those majestic qualities! Just look at your life now. Everything you believe normally happens, right? When you tell somebody that something will not go right, doesn’t it normally not go right? (Majestic Qualities) For most of us, life has been filled with stuff that doesn’t go right. If this is you? You’re in luck! Louise Hay says the point of power is always in the present moment. So right now, today, you can visit the classroom of your mind and start speaking positive things and they will start turning into your beliefs. Once you believe it, that belief turns into those majestic qualities. Then new things will start showing up in your experience! That’s why I continue to speak that my classroom is a peaceful haven. It truly has become that. Unless I chose not to allow it to be. So today, let’s allow the good king to rise up and make it a great day!
