Allowed to be Out of Control

Good Morning Most Awesome and Wonderful World Changers!!!! I was just thinking about what happened yesterday. I had another teacher in my room. I won’t go into the why. (LONG STORY) Anyway, she stayed in my room the whole day. It seemed as if the children were out of control. They weren’t doing anything but talking out of turn. I felt the urge to try to control the talking and pass out punishments because I felt embarrassed. However, I resisted that urge and I ended up having a wonderful day! Sometimes allowing other people to be themselves and who they are will help you more than it helps them. It makes life so much more easier when you realize that only God is in control and you don’t have to go through life controlling everything and everyone.

Daily Affirmations: Today is an Awesome and Amazing Day! I have released the need to control everything and everyone. I trust the process of life. I trust God to bring me my highest good! Wobbling Wavering Wednesday!!!

Good Morning Most Awesome Wonderful Educators! I just gonna be very honest! It must be because I’m tired. The past few days I have gone to bed at 2:00am and gotten back up at 6:30am like clock work. I always say follow your feelings but the past few days it has given me joy to be mean and surly. LOL! (Now that just made me laugh! That came from a movie with Whoopi Goldberg, when she put on her husband’s gravestone. . .  Mean & Surly. . . . LOL!) Well this is just what I’m talking about. Yesterday when I woke up, I was playing my music and singing and dancing! I was very upbeat. But as soon as I got to school, I felt like being mean and surly! I actually enjoyed it. Until my Kindergarteners came in. They won’t allow me being grumpy to stop them from singing, playing, laughing, and dancing! It was so funny because one of them came up to talk to me and I didn’t turn to look at him but I answered. I just didn’t look at him so he stood right there and kept calling my name. At that moment, I decided to shake off my hatefulness and put on a smile and turn to him. He simply said “I missed you” and gave me a hug followed by the rest of the class . It was like they knew I wasn’t myself and waited for me to bring the vibration of joy back into my mind! That was enough to keep me going for the rest of the day!

I mentioned this story about yesterday, because I woke up this morning in the same head space. But just remembering that moment with my kids really gave me life. It’s funny, as I walked around telling other teachers I was feeling Mean and Surly. They all said “Didn’t you do your positive thing this morning?” That the thing; I did do it! But that’s why I’m sharing this story. To show that it is truly a choice. I choose JOY! People think you can’t have days like this when you’re normally a positive person. However one of my affirmations says, “Everyone is always helpful” and “I love my students and they love me”. So even when I feel at my lowest, God sends someone to pull me out of it! To help me choose a joyful thought! Many times it is my students. They seem to have a keen sense to gauge emotions and they know exactly what to do and say to help people from being Wobbling and Wavering!

Daily Affirmations: Today is an Amazing Day! I love my life! I love and approve of myself as I am right here and now! I love the people I work with! Everyone is always helpful. I love my students. I bless each one with love. I know that the love I send to my students and fellow teachers, comes back to me. ALL IS WELL AND I AM SAFE! ALL IS WELL IN MY CLASSROOM! ALL IS WELL IN MY SCHOOL! Good Morning Most Awesome and Wonderful Educators and Friends! Today is an Amazing Day! I’m sure good things have started flowing your way! So, now it’s time for you to tell it! Share with somebody the good things that have been taking place in your classroom and in your life! By you sharing your successes that says to God and the universe that you are grateful! Case in point, I always share with other teachers about how  “my classroom is a peaceful haven”. Now it’s seems like it’s hard for anger to enter my classroom. Even when I try to get angry, the children say “Okay Mr. Demby calm down” Then I can’t help but smile. So the anger leaves. God just sends me more reasons to be happy! Tap Out Tuesday

Good Morning Most Awesome and Wonderful Educators and Friends!!!!! When you’re fighting a battle, tapping out means you give up! So today, those of us who try to control everything and everyone, it’s time to Tap Out! Let’s release the need to try and control things in our life. Many times we end up messing it up because we won’t let what’s natural take place. God has created the universe and it moves things around to fit our beliefs about life. The best way change things in your life, is to change your beliefs about life and then allow the universe to do what it does best! The universe doesn’t need your help making grass grow. It just grows. It doesn’t need your help changing the seasons. They just change. (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall) So why would God need your help in bringing you your highest good? Tap out and let God do what he does best!

Follow Your Friday!!!!

Good Morning Most Wonderful Educators and Friends!!!! Today is Friday! This is the day that most people look forward to out of all the other days. People walk by you and proclaim “two more days” or “T.G.I.F.”. Most people are really happy on Friday! Yayyyy! But what would our life be like, if we viewed every day and every moment like we view Fridays? If we could walk around being happy and having that joy all the time? Joseph Campbell said, “Follow your bliss”. Well Kyri Demby is saying, “follow your Friday!” Take the T.G.I.F. moment with you all the time! Be grateful and have joy all the time! Thank God It’s Friday! Don’t just live a Friday love life! Enjoy your life! Enjoy every minute of every day! “Follow your Friday feeling! GRATEFUL & GLAD!

Swirling Up to a Magnificent Monday!

Good Morning Awesome Educators! I am back from my break!!! While I was away, something occurred to me. The new thing to say is “I’m on my grind” or “I’m grinding” meaning that you are working hard. However, grinding normally leaves you further down than when you started, it leaves you worn out, and it leaves you with a bunch of dust. Try grinding a pencil into a piece of wood or something, you’ll see. LOL! Grinding also focuses on  how hard it is to get to the top. I prefer to focus on the ease of life. So from here on out I vowed to “Swirl” LOL! I’m swirling up! Don’t you just feel better when you say that! LOL! I do! So today if your students are giving you the blues, just think about SWIRLING UP and you will smile. Then start teaching from that space! Teach with ease!

Daily Affirmations: Today is an Amazing Day! My students learn with ease. I see myself teaching with ease! My classroom is a peaceful haven! I’m Satisfied this Saturday!

My Vacation is almost over! However, I must say I am completely satisfied. This has been an awesome week! Things have worked out just as they should. All my needs, desires, and goals have been met with ease! I am truly grateful to God for moving things in the way he moves them! I stand in complete appreciation of the life I have right now! All things are working for my good, and I see it! Thank You Universe for lining things up the way you have! God is in everything and everything is in God! I approve of myself! I am open and receptive to all good! I love myself! I release the need to try and control everything and everybody. I accept the process of life! ALL IS WELL AND I AM SAFE!

Resurrect a Thirsty Thursday!!

Good Morning Most Magnificent Educators! My Resurrection week is almost over!  I hope you have been a little more revived each day! Today is Thirsty Thursday! Go back in your mind to when you were just graduating college and you had a thirst for teaching. When you were so excited to be molding and shaping children’s lives. Teach from that space! Remember why you decided to be a teacher in the first place. People tried to tell you that teachers don’t get paid a lot but you didn’t care because it was you passion! Try to find that space in your mind every time you step foot in the classroom! And as my teacher, Ms Gilliam used to say, “You bet your sweet bippies” Wonderful things will happen daily in your classroom!

Daily Affirmations: I am so excited to be shaping and molding the lives of my students. I am making a difference to the planet! I enjoy teaching! It is my passion! It is my life!
